The GICC adopts policies, standards, and best practices. GICC members and its standing committees, representing the NC GIS community, participate in the development of these documents.
The GICC prepares an annual report to the Governor and the General Assembly. Standing committees may issue additional reports on issues under consideration.

Standardized parcel data for all 100 counties is now available as a map service, a feature service, or as downloadable data from the the NC OneMap Geospatial Portal.
