The Guidelines for Providing Appropriate Access to Geospatial Data in Response to Security Concerns, was adopted by the GICC in February 2006. The guidelines, developed by the Federal Geographic Data Committee, provide a thorough risk analysis for all government agencies to use in deciding whether or not to publish geographic data on the Internet.
