The purpose of the TAC is to review and recommend specifications related to interoperability of hardware, software and databases to enable data sharing, as well as approaches or guidelines for developing, installing, and managing the components of GIS infrastructure. The state (SGUC), local (LGC) and federal (FIC) committees appoint members to the TAC. The GICC chair appponts the TAC chair and the other members.
